Gemma Wang

Hi! I’m Gemma Wang, founder of Brains for Change and founder/president of The Melody Project, a nonprofit that connects high school students and seniors through music-based activities. With over a decade of piano experience—including performances at Carnegie Hall—I’ve seen how music fosters powerful cross-generational bonds.
My interests sit at the intersection of public policy, neuroscience, and aging, which I explore through research, writing, and service. I also serve as an editor for Alcott Youth Magazine, am a three-time Summa Cum Laude recipient on the National Latin Exam, and have earned a buttercream certification from New York Cake Academy!
This blog bridges my passions to spotlight the aging population—and how we can better support them through thoughtful policy and meaningful interaction.
