This past Thursday, I brought my nonprofit, The Melody Project, to Inspir Senior Living, and the students and residents had so much fun working together to create their own pieces of artwork on puzzle-piece-shaped papers inspired by Chopin's Waltz L'adieu in A-flat Major. Ultimately, we combined all their puzzle pieces into one large tapestry, symbolizing how music—and the emotions, imagery, and memories it may evoke—can connect us all through discussion, collaboration, and learning about each other. I am so grateful for the opportunity to run a session of The Melody Project at Inspir and look forward to working with this assisted living facility soon!
